The Problem.
90,000 patients are waiting. 3,800 kidneys are wasted every year. We're changing that by applying AI-native solutions to the world's most complex matching problem.
Usable & Equitable
A more intuitive tool for medical practitioners designed to expand access for underrepresented communities.
AI-Native Matching
Deep learning models that optimize kidney exchange, improving outcomes for patients and donors.
Data Integrity
Ensuring transparency and security across the entire preservation and transplantation supply chain.

Driven by impact.
From personal advocacy to computational research, we are dedicated to transforming kidney care through compassion and innovation.
The Journey
Kapil’s grandmother, Shanitmayee Acharya, crashes into dialysis with over 80% kidney damage. Her doctor’s words: “count your days”—marking the beginning of a long and difficult battle against kidney disease

Following his grandmother’s passing while waiting for a transplant—not because an organ didn’t exist, but because the system failed to find one in time—Kapil begins volunteering and raising awareness for kidney disease
Kapil becomes a political advocate with the National Kidney Foundation, working to reform kidney policy and improve patient outcomes

Kapil begins kidney disease research, applying computational methods to improve outcomes across AKI, CKD, and PKD
Through advocacy with the National Kidney Foundation, Kapil helps advance the OPTN Modernization Act, opening transplant infrastructure to innovation

Network-Based Kidney Allocation Simulation presented at BMES and published in Blood Purification
KidneyChain is founded, with the goal of developing an AI-native platform to optimize kidney donor-recipient matching and adaptive clinical decision support tools

Today, we're scaling KidneyChain to revolutionize kidney transplantation and build the infrastructure for a smarter, more equitable transplant ecosystem

We are uniquely positioned.
A multidisciplinary team combining personal advocacy, clinical expertise, and cutting-edge engineering.
